ARCHETYPES
I like to mix it up to give myself a break from the clean lines and pretty colours of my recent Resort Collection.
My latest painting delves into the murky depths of Greek Mythology where we find ourselves, or at least our archetypal selves. Lessons for humanity, which it seems, have been forgotten.
This painting is a portrait of my friend and college Martha Augoustinos. Professor of Psychology my portrayal of her as Athena Goddess of War and Wisdom seemed appropriate - not because she is a patron of warriors but because she is warn-out and fed-up with so much War Mongering.
She is disillusioned and disappointed.
Athena, Oil on Canvas, 76x152cm
The Wanderluster, Oil on Canvas, 102 x 76cm, 2026
I created this painting after a recent Art Retreat in Spain. It acknowledges my love of adventure and nature.
Never happy to stay still too long the call of the next journey is ever present.
This Wanderlust runs parallel to my need to create. Two things that have been consistent in my life - that need to
explore, to discover and, as an artist, to pay homage to it.
THE ‘Sun Blessed’ COLLECTION
DIVE into an imagined world of pools and palm trees
The Sun Blessed Collection takes you on holiday, inviting you to dive into my imagined world of pools, palm trees and sun-drenched cocktails.
Shaken, Not Stirred, Oil on PolyCotton, 61 x 30.5cm - In Progress

Golden Girl, Oil on PolyCotton, 102 x 76cm, 2025 - Sold
Gillian, my exuberant, sparkling, ebullient friend has an enthusiasm for life that cannot be matched
Sun Kissed Twins, Oil on PolyCotton, 102 x 76cm, 2025
My beautiful nephews Tim and Jack posed for this portrait painting of middle class identical twins in their teenage prime. Blonde, bronzed, muscular and fit.
Poolside Pooch, Oil on PolyCotton, 76 x 76cm, 2025
Ralphy, my sisters delightful creature, this is the second painting I have done of him. While photographing my nephews (above) Ralphy wanted to be in on the act and he quite enjoyed the sunglasses.
Sun Blissed, Oil on PolyCotton, 76 x 76cm, 2025
The first of my new series. This painting represents a significant moment of healing and celebration in my life. I have chosen to embrace the light and sun-filled joy of simply being. To invite a sense of summer and vitality to this self portrait.
Beach Babe, Oil on PolyCotton, 76 x 76cm
Little Polly collecting shells in between surfing lessons

THE VENICE COLLECTION
Basilica Venezia, Oil on Canvas, 122x102cm, 2024 - SOLD
On a recent visit to Venice I witnessed the Basilica of San Marco in all its blinding, sunlit, water-reflected magnificence. I wanted to paint how it seemed to appear then disappear because of the blinding sun intensified by the reflecting high water.
Venice's Basilica silently shouting to be saved from Global Warming.
Il Papa, Oil on Canvas, 40x35cm, 2024 - SOLD
Inspired by Giacomo Manzù’s bronze Cardinale housed at Ca’ Pesaro, Venice. This sculpture was severely damaged in the 2019 Aqua Alta floods and was only just restored when I saw him. I could imagine him bobbing up and down along the Grand Canal. The sleek lines and aerodynamic flow of the sculpture as well as its stern authority caught my eye and I just had to paint him.
Pink Palazzo, 76x152cm, 2024 - Unavailable
When I think of Venice I often think of it in Pink. The Tuscan and Coral Pinks of its Venetian Gothic Architecture and of course the rose glass in its Art Nuevo styled lamp posts. Often a pink sunset appears and reflects in its canals and watery walk ways. Its elegant decaying structures encased in crimson hues.
THE VANITY SET
Invisible Woman, Oil on Canvas, 76×76cm, 2024
I painted this work as a literal translation of the middle-aged woman’s fear of being inconsequential, irrelevant - INVISIBLE, except for her hands which are always working, building, creating, taking care of everyone else.
Nurse Pain, Oil on canvas, 76×76cm, 2024
She’s a hardened, nasty piece of work. Enjoys inflicting pain on her vain ridden clients. “Beauty is Pain” she says.
