LADY AGNEW

A new winter Art Class option Tuesday Evenings. Create a professional study (ONLINE with me) of this famous painting LADY AGNEW by Sargent. I will be painting the image with you in real time giving you a step by step guide toward a professional study of this most celebrated portrait.

Dates: 21 July to 22 September

Times: Tuesday Evenings, 7:00 - 8:30pm

Where: Online ‘live’ Zoom

For this course you will need to have:-

  • Your image drawn up on your canvas size 20 × 16”

  • Access to a ‘Zoom’ accoun. We can do a test before the first class if you are nervous.

  • Your working/painting space will need to be set up so that your desktop or tablet or phone is visible is in a good place for your to see me demonstrating the process.

  • You will need the following colours: Titanium White, Ivory Black, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Vermilion (sub. Cadmium Red Light), Mars Red (sub. Indian Red), Raw Sienna, Mars Brown (sub. Burnt Umber), Madder Deep (sub. Alizarin Crimson or Alizarin Permanent), French Ultramarine, Cobolt Blue, Viridian (sub. Phthalo Green).

  • Underpainting Medium, Solvent, Baby Wipes and Paper Towels

  • Palette, Palette knife, Various sized brushes (including one for tiny details - I recommend Rosemary Brushes)

  • Print out the weeks JPEG in colour prior to class so you have your photocopy reference to work from.

  • I recommend Brands such as Langridge, Gamblin and Art Spectrum, of course if you really want top end products go with Michael Harding and/or Old Holland.
